Agatha All Along’s First Trailer Teases Some Wild, Witchy Weirdness

Marvel's WandaVision spinoff, starring Kathryn Hahn’s breakout character Agatha Harkness, hits Disney+ September 18.

After what feels like eons of teasing–and a handful of faux-name changes along the way–Marvel has released our first look at its next streaming series, in the form of WandaVision follow up Agatha All Along.

The new series follows on from the climax of WandaVision, with Agatha still magically trapped in Westview, seemingly living out life as the protagonist of a police procedural—until with a little bit of witchy help from Aubrey Plaza, she finds herself freed, and ready to get vengeance on the Scarlet Witch. And, you know, start a new coven made up of less than stellar witches to boot.

It’s interesting to see that at least for some part of its premise Agatha All Along will keep a little bit of WandaVision‘s spiritual TV-genre-bending framing. But once Agatha’s broken free, are we going to get a deep dive into the world of Marvel magic beyond the likes of what we’ve seen in the Doctor Strange films? Is Agatha going to learn that the target of her vengeance is, uh, not doing so hot at this point in the Marvel timeline?

We’ll find out, when Agatha All Along begins streaming on Disney+ September 18 with a two-episode premiere.
