Altar
Variety reports January Jones, Kyle MacLachlan, David Krumholtz, Lily Collias and Hudson Behling are attached to star in Altar, a new horror film at A24 from Sputnik director, Egor Abramenko. Though details on the plot are mostly under wraps, the script is said to be based on a short story by Philip Fracassi and concern “the summer of a young boy, forced to grow up faster than he ever imagined.” Westworld‘s Will Soodik has adapted it for the screen.
The Long Walk
According to Deadline, Mark Hamill and Judy Greer have joined the cast of The Long Walk in currently undisclosed roles.
King Spawn
Deadline also reports Todd McFarlane’s King Spawn is now searching for a director.
The Fantastic Four

Azrael
Deadline reports Azrael starring Samara Weaving is now scheduled for a September 27, 2024 release date. Written by Simon Barrett and directed by E.L. Katz, the film is set “in a world in which no one speaks” and concerns “a devout female-led community” that “hunts down a young woman (Weaving) who has escaped her imprisonment. Recaptured by its ruthless leaders, Azrael is to be sacrificed to pacify an ancient evil that resides deep within the surrounding wilderness–yet she will stop at nothing to ensure her own freedom and survival. From the seeds of this gritty, relentless parable of sacrifice and salvation, comes an immersive, real-time, action horror tale.”
