During a recent interview with Empire, director Todd Phillips confirmed Arthur Fleck never becomes the criminal mastermind of the film’s namesake.
We would never do that. Because Arthur clearly is not a criminal mastermind. He was never that. Arthur has become this symbol to people. This unwilling, unwitting symbol now paying for the crimes of the first film, but at the same time finding the only thing he ever wanted, which was love. That’s always what he’s been about, even though he’s been pushed and pulled in all these directions. So we tried to just make the most pure version of that.

According to TV Line, Minnie Driver will play a gender-flipped incarnation of The Penguin on Batman: The Caped Crusader, Oswalda Cobblepot.
Gremlins: The Wild Batch
Accoring to TV Line, John Glover will reprise his Gremlins 2 role of Daniel Clamp in Gremlins: The Wild Batch. The outlet also reports word Simu Liu has also joined the cast as Chang, “a handsome, impossibly charming bootlegger and son to one of San Francisco Chinatown’s most powerful and influential families. His various escapades have led him to spend quite a bit of time in Alcatraz, so much so that his family believes he’s dead. After a twist of fate brings him together with Sam, Elle and Gizmo, Chang will try to get back to Chinatown while also acting as the trio’s roguish guide to America.”
Dexter: Resurrection/Dexter: Original Sin
TV Line also has word Michael C. Hall will (somehow) return in Dexter: Resurrection, a brand-new series set after the events of Dexter: New Blood. Hall will additionally serve as narrator in the upcoming prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin.
Clone High
Max has canceled its Clone High revival after two seasons. [TV Line]
Blood of Zeus
Blood of Zeus will additionally end with its third season at Netflix. [TV Line]
Krapopolis
However, Fox has renewed Krapopolis for a fourth season ahead of its second season premiere. [TV Line]

Treehouse of Horror XXXV
Variety reports this year’s Treehouse of Horror will include Simpsons parodies of Something Wicked This Way Comes and Venom. Its Venom parody, titled “Denim,” will include a stop-motion pair of blue jeans from the animators of Robot Chicken.
The Mayfair Witches
Finally, MGM+ has also released a new trailer for second season of The Mayfair Witches.
