I Know What You Did Last Summer
In conversation with Us Weekly, Freddie Prinze, Jr. stated he’s “motivated” to return for the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot.
Nothing’s a lock until there’s ink on paper, until the contract’s signed, but I’m definitely talking to them. And if we can make everything work — and I know they wanna make everything work, I know I wanna make everything work — then we’ll try and make it work. But we gotta make sure everyone’s schedules fit.
Everybody has to be happy with the script. I know Jen Robinson, the director [of the reboot], and I like Jen Robinson very much as a director and as a person. I think people like her are the future of this business. So there’s a lot of good things that make me want to do the movie.
I’m motivated, I know they’re motivated. I know both sides are trying to make it work. And hopefully we do.
Dragon’s Lair
According to producer Roy Lee, Netflix’s film adaptation of Dragon’s Lair starring Ryan Reynolds will no longer be an interactive choose-your-own-adventure project like Black Mirror‘s “Bandersnatch” special.
The status has changed a lot. Originally, it was gonna be one of the movies that was gonna be like a choose your own adventure. Like that Black Mirror episode where you could decide the fate of the characters, and that’s the way we had originally developed it. We had a 400-page script because you could go different directions and go different ways, and Ryan Reynolds was gonna play Dirk the Daring, but they pulled the plug on that format. Now we’re reconfiguring it as a straight, linear movie.
